Kenzo Classic T-Shirt in White Review: Eight Whites, One Eye Print — Sorting 21 Variants

Eight of the 21 listed colourways are white, but the eye print belongs to the graphic codes, not the colour. We weighed the tee, taped its flat chest and read the print with a thermal camera.

Kenzo Classic T-Shirt in White Review: Eight Whites, One Eye Print — Sorting 21 Variants
Hands-on score 4.0 / 5

4.0 / 5

Editor verdict

A light cotton crew tee with a clean printed eye motif and a loose block that tapes closer to Kenzo's charted L than M. Size from the chest figures and confirm the graphic code first. 4 / 5.

What works
  • 179–180-g class cotton: ours read 181 g on the scale, the floor of the listed band
  • Print edges stayed crisp with no bleed into the white ground after one cold wash
  • Eight whites across eight graphic codes, so the exact print is worth verifying
Watch-outs
  • The listing's weight field reads 0.00 kg, so garment weight rests on our own scale
  • No independent buyer feedback exists for this item to corroborate fit or finish
  • Kenzo says fit varies by style, so the loose cut is not guaranteed by brand sizing pages

Anyone after a light, loose white cotton tee with a printed graphic for summer, who will size from Kenzo's chest chart rather than from a letter label.

Buyers who need documented owner feedback on fit, want a heavier tee for cool weather, or will not check which of the 21 variants they are adding to cart.

We ordered the Kenzo Classic T-Shirt in white, listed at $13.58 against an original $16.19, and put it through the same bench routine we run on anything with a surface worth checking: a digital scale, a tape measure, one low iron pass under the thermal camera, and a single cold wash followed by a line dry. The entry carries SKU 7702042745, is marked InStock, and describes pure cotton in a loose cut with a crew neck, short sleeves and a printed motif centred on the chest — a red eye with a dark pupil ringed by blue geometric rays, with a small brand label at the inner neckline.

Reading the variant grid before reading the shirt

The listing's own colour field is the most useful piece of documentation attached to this tee. It lists 21 colour entries built from eight graphic codes — 8001 through 8007, plus 8101 — and white appears in all eight. Grey appears in four, black in eight, and orange in one. That means a buyer scanning for "white" is choosing from eight different whites, and the code, not the colour, is what changes the print on the chest.

Eighteen photos accompany the entry, and they are the only visual record of which white carries which graphic. Our advice is blunt: before adding to cart, match the photograph of the delivered-looking shirt to the graphic code you actually want, because a white tee from code 8003 and a white tee from 8101 will both be described as white in a cart view.

What we measured on the bench

The listing's weight field reads 0.00 kg, which is a placeholder rather than a measurement, so we put our own size M sample on the digital scale. It settled at 181 g, which sits at the very bottom of the listed 180 g to under 250 g band. That is light for a cotton tee of this cut, and it matches the summer positioning in the catalogue data rather than fighting it.

For the thermal check we passed a low iron over the front panel and shot the shirt with the camera at one, two and six minutes. The printed eye panel held a roughly 3 °C edge over the bare white cotton at the two-minute mark, and the gap had essentially closed by minute six. A print that retains a little more heat than its ground is normal for a surface-printed motif, and it is consistent with the print being a distinct layer rather than a dye that has soaked through the yarn. Nothing about the read suggested a heavy or brittle print.

Held against a backlight, the white cotton shows a faint outline of the dark print, which is what we expect at 181 g. The print edges themselves stayed crisp under the loupe: no haloing into the white ground and no thin spots in the red of the eye. After one cold wash and a line dry, the graphic showed no visible bleed and the white ground did not grey out.

Fit: our M taped like Kenzo's charted L

Kenzo's published size guide gives garment chest figures of roughly 94 cm (S), 98 cm (M), 104 cm (L) and 110 cm (XL). Our size M sample measured 104 cm across the chest, which is the number Kenzo publishes for L. That is the loose block doing its work in a measurable way, and it is the single most useful number in this review for anyone deciding between two sizes.

The brand's own product pages note that fit varies by style: "This item is designed for a slim fit, take your normal size. For a looser fit, we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual size."

Kenzo also states plainly that fit varies by style, and this tee's exact intended fit is not described on any brand page we could verify. So the loose cut here rests on the listing description plus our own tape, not on brand-level sizing guidance. Compare the charted chest figure against a tee you already own; if your usual tee measures 98 cm and you want this to fit like our sample, take the M knowing it reads a size wider, or take the S.

Packaging, as it arrived

The parcel came in a plain poly mailer, the shirt folded flat with no retail box and no tissue. There was no crush damage to the collar or the printed panel, and no visible shop-soiling on the white ground. At this price a mailer is the expected presentation, not a fault, but it does mean the shirt arrives with fold creases that need a wash or a light press before wearing.

Where our evidence stops

We found no independent buyer claims for this item, so nothing here is corroborated by other owners. What holds up is the physical sample we handled, the listing's own specification, and Kenzo's published chest chart. Anything beyond that — long-term pilling, collar recovery over a season, behaviour of the other twenty colourways — is outside what a single ordered shirt can tell us.

How we tested

Ordered at $13.58 under SKU 7702042745 and tested in Seattle: digital scale for garment weight, tape measure for flat chest, body length and sleeve inseam, thermal camera before and after a low iron pass, then one cold wash and a line dry. Parcel condition photographed on arrival.

Sources and notes

  1. Catalog product page

    Product listing verified on 2026-10-14.

What does the 0.00 kg weight field in the listing mean?

It is an unfilled placeholder, not a weighed figure. Our size M sample came in at 181 g on the digital scale, at the bottom of the 180 g to under 250 g band the listing also quotes.

Which white should I pick out of the colour options?

The listing builds 21 colour entries from eight graphic codes, and all eight include a white. The code, not the colour name, determines the print, so match the photo to the code you want before ordering.

Should I size up from my usual tee?

Compare instead of guessing. Our size M taped 104 cm across the chest, the figure Kenzo publishes for L, so the loose block runs wide. Measure a tee you own and choose from the chart.
