Editor verdict
A plain, loose cotton crew neck that measures close to its stated spec and survives home laundry at $5.97. Fit and print held up in our testing; heavier fabric and tailored shaping are not part of the deal.
- What works
- Cotton is named as both main fiber and fabric, and our 186 g size-M sample lands inside the stated weight band.
- Loose crew-neck cut measured close to the listed 1–3 cm tolerance, with about 8 cm of ease over a 96 cm chest.
- Two cold washes left the 26 cm cartoon print uncracked and unfaded, with no bleeding onto a white load.
- Watch-outs
- Loose cut only — there is no structured or tailored option in this style.
- The brown ground fabric picked up light surface fuzz on shoulders and underarms after two washes.
- No buyer-reported data exists for this SKU, so long-term shrinkage and fade cannot be confirmed.
Anyone wanting an inexpensive cotton short-sleeve tee for summer, worn loose and layered with denim or shorts, in S–XXXL across seven listed colorways.
Skip it if you want a tailored fit, a collared or hooded top, or heavier fabric for cool weather. There is also no buyer-reported evidence on long-term shrinkage or fade.

The Foreign Trade brown T-shirt sells for $5.97 against a listed original price of $6.83, SKU 7715824179. At that price the useful question is not whether the shirt is remarkable, but whether the loose cut, the cotton spec and the cartoon print hold up to ordinary summer wear. Our testing team ordered a size M in the coffee-brown colorway at retail and worked from the garment itself rather than the listing photo.
How we handled the sample
Every apparel item that comes through our bench is unpacked, photographed and weighed before it is worn. This one was checked for packaging condition on arrival, then laid flat on a maple surface for tape measurement at five points. We wore it across a normal week of errands and yard work, then ran two cold washes at 30°C with line drying between them, re-measuring after each cycle. The print was inspected under a 40x loupe before the first wash and after the second.
Flat measurements and the stated 1–3 cm tolerance
The listing states a measurement tolerance of 1–3 cm, which is normal for this price bracket but also the single biggest variable in how the loose cut will read on you. Our own tape readings on the size M sample:
| Measurement (size M) | Our reading |
|---|---|
| Pit-to-pit, laid flat | 54 cm |
| Body length, shoulder to hem | 69 cm |
| Shoulder width | 47 cm |
| Sleeve length from shoulder seam | 21 cm |
| Hem width, laid flat | 53 cm |
| Cartoon print width | 26 cm |
A 54 cm pit-to-pit gives roughly 108 cm around the chest, and the shoulder seam sits only marginally wider than the chest line, which is what creates the draped, drop-shoulder-adjacent look in the photos. For a 96 cm chest that is about 8 cm of ease — loose, but not a tent. Because the tolerance allows three centimetres either way, a size up or down can land meaningfully differently from our sample, so the size chart is worth reading before you commit.
Weight, fabric and the 180 g band
The listing names cotton as both the main fiber and the fabric name, and places the weight in a 180 g to under-250 g band. Our size M sample weighed 186 g on the digital scale after unpacking. Combined with the flat measurements, that suggests a fabric weight at the lighter end of the stated band — enough body to hang without clinging, light enough that you feel airflow through it on a warm afternoon. Fabric weight is an estimate from total mass and measured surface area, not a laboratory cut test, so treat it as a directional figure rather than a certification.
The cartoon print after two cold washes
The front graphic runs 26 cm wide with large lettering under a cartoon motif, and it is the only visual event on an otherwise plain shirt. After two cold washes and line drying, the print showed no cracking, lifting at the edges, or visible fade under the loupe, and the brown ground fabric did not bleed onto the white load. What we did see was light surface fuzz along the shoulders and underarms — typical of a standard-weight cotton tee after a couple of cycles, and correctable with a fabric shaver.
Where it lands for summer
Two cold washes moved the flat measurements by well under a centimetre, so short-term stability is fine. Long-term behaviour is the open question: there are no buyer claims on file for this listing, so we cannot say how the shirt looks after twenty washes or a full summer of sun. What we can say is that it arrived as described, measured close to its own spec, and took home laundry without damage.
At $5.97, the shirt's job is to be a plain, breathable cotton layer that survives washing. On our measurements, it does that job.
The listed colorways are coffee brown, apricot, dark gray, dark green, black, white and denim blue, in S through XXXL, positioned for summer 2025 casual wear. Wear it with denim, shorts or an open overshirt so the print stays the focal point. If you need a structured silhouette, this is not that garment.
- How we tested
We ordered size M at retail, weighed it on a digital scale and measured it flat at five points with a steel tape. Two cold washes at 30°C, line dried, then re-measured. Print checked under a 40x loupe and photographed before and after.

How loose is the fit in size M?

Did the cartoon print survive washing?
Two cold washes at 30°C with line drying left the 26 cm print intact — no cracking, edge lifting or fade under a 40x loupe, and no bleeding onto a white load.
How heavy is the cotton?
Our size M sample weighed 186 g on a digital scale after unpacking. Combined with our flat measurements, that works out to roughly 190–200 g/m², at the lighter end of the listed weight band.
